Probate Avoidance

The probate process can be expensive. Although there can be financial and tax benefits to allowing assets to go through probate, it often makes sense to lessen the effect of probate or avoid it all together. Only experienced legal counsel can explain to you when you might benefit by allowing an asset go through probate.
There are many techniques that can be employed to avoid the probate process. Frequently, people look to Trusts as an effective way to keep your assets out of probate. Trusts, however, are expensive and there are often simple, cost effective options for avoiding probate. Frequently, probate can be avoided entirely without the use of an expensive Trust.

When we discuss estate planning with you, we look at the nature and extent of your assets, your familial relationships and potential probate benefits and costs in order to formulate a plan that fits your specific needs.

If you located near the Akron, Ohio area and interested in probate avoidance, please contact The Law Offices of Raymond Powell today.
